Now that I've nearly finished all my college applications I can finally get more sleep. I started back in October by filling out my private applications. I decided to apply early action for Loyola Marymount University. I spent most of October finishing my LMU application and editing all my essays. I also begun working on my UC application. After submitting my LMU application towards the end of October I begun working on my PIQ for my UC application, as well as my USC application. I worked non stop everyday and barely got any sleep while working on these applications. Luckily when I start my CSU application it didn't require any essays so that helped take off some stress. I spent days going back and forth editing my essays and making sure they weren't over the word count. I ended up submitting all my applications on November 25 except for my Pepperdine application which is due on January 15th 2021. I wish someone would have told me how much stress and time college applications take. I definitely did not except that amount of work for the college application process. If there's any advice I could give to future seniors is to start early. Don't wait last minute to work on these applications. Its vital that you work on them early to get the best possible essays. You want to make sure you stand out on your applications. What most excites me going to college is becoming independent. Although adulthood might sound scary I'm excited to meet new people and start a new phase in life.
